Excerpt from The South Before and at the Battle of the Wilderness: Address of Leigh Robinson (Formerly of the Richmond Howitzers) Of Washington, D. C., Before the Virginia Division of the Army of Northern Virginia at Their Annual Meeting, Held at the Capitol in Richmond, Va;, Nov; 1, 1877 Added, that the request itself is the less surprising, inasmuch as, whether made for one another in Heaven, or some widely different locality, the two halves, the spoken and unspoken, did not divide in any one place, but, in the main, kept together, and ran side by side, throughout the address, like two single gentlemen rolled into one, if the sane mind can conceive such a case.
