Fresno State A hot Bed of Radical 60's Politics?
The reason I searched for this book was because I attended Fresno State from 1966--68. I saw a reference to this book in an online article. I happened to be in the thick of it all and was more than just curious about what was going on behind the scenes of The Mezey Case. I had gone off to FSC on an athletic scholarship and became willingly swept up in the radical politics of the era. There was a lot of injustice and so many assumptions made by the powers that be on the campus and in the community that it was rather ripe for revolt. The author of this title was there on campus and does a good job of covering the details. I as a participant didn't really know about all the political maneuvering that was going on with the various departments on campus and the political alliances between campus factions and the Fresno City council, etc. There was a lot going on, much more than my twenty year old mind could grasp at the time. This is a well researched book on the 1960's upheaval as viewed from one small college of the era.
