This book described the fascinating life of Ms. Reitsch from her earliest times of flying in the 1930's until her post WW2 gliding and flight accomplishments. According to her story she flew many dozen of Luftwaffe aircraft, as well as civilian craft. She had many crashes including the crash of a Me-163 that left her hospitalized for 5 months! A great story for any pilot to tell, much less for a woman in volunteer service to the Nazis.
