Seller's Description:
Very Good (Plus). No Jacket. 8vo-over 7¾"-9¾" tall. One of the prime eye-witness accounts of the 1916 Uprising; Mrs Norway was the wife of the Secretary of the General Post Office and provided the only telephone link between Dublin and London during that Easter Week. Copies are held institutionally by LOC and other research libraries in the UK & Australia, but quite scarce in the trade. It has been reprinted twice. This is a Very Good Plus copy of the First Edition. Green cloth binding with black lettering on the spine and a lovely reproduction of an Irish Republican stamp design on the front cover. Clean text; 111 pages, with an errata slip laid into page 59. Frontis photograph and one other within. Previous-owner inscription (initials only) on the FFEP, along with an offset (possibly from a clipping that was laid in at some time). Only some occasional spotting. The corners are mildly bumped. A sound and quite attractive copy of an important source. No dustwrapper; in an archival plastic cover.
