Nothing says "Merry Christmas" like a young Christopher Plummer robbing a bank disguised as Santa Claus. "The Silent Partner" is at first glance just another bank heist gone good movie that we have all seen, but eccentric characters and bizarre twists give this film originality and personality. It is a weird watch, that is for sure, and it may not be till the end of the movie that you realized how subtly brilliant the film really is. Personally I love movies that are out of the ordinary such as The Silent Partner, but I can imagine others will find this movie as entertaining as I did. It's quite a treat to see a young John Candy as well!
