This book is really cute. I know some picky eaters so I knew their mother, at least, would love this book, too. I loved the ending.

Great!!!!!!!!!!!
I have been buying picture books for over 14 years for my grandchildren. In all that time, this is one of my favorites. I never buy a book unless the illustrations are as marvelous as the story line. It is standard practice to purchase one for every friend or family member having a new baby.

simply a fave!
I am a mother of 4, and enjoy being "mama mo" to many more. I i found this book at our lake house out of nowhere it seems. sat down on the bed to read it with my youngest and pretty soon all the kids were on the bed snuggled up with me. ahhhh. the oldest is now 16 and i gave her a copy for her hope chest, and they all stil snuggle up with me when i read this one. Praise God for books that evoke the heart and provide memories. Thank you Mary Ann and Marla for putting your gifts out there!

The Best Kind of Children's Book!
This is one of those rare picture books that parents will enjoy at least as much as the kids. The story--told in wonderful read-aloud rhyme--seems like nonsense but builds and builds to make perfect sense at the end. Through all the picky eating of her seven children, the mom tries to keep everybody happy but still finds time to practice her cello. The illustrations must have been done by a mother, because the messy house looks like real children actually live there. Each page is full of great details. I love this book. I give it as a gift whenever possible (although the last friend I sent it to might not have appreciated it--when I sent it, she had 6 kids, and the next thing I heard, she was expecting a 7th).
