Seller's Description:
Small 8vo. Red cloth with black lettering and rules, pictorial dust jacket. 123pp. Very good/very good. Very faintest of binding edgewear; text block moderately, evenly age toned per usual, with rear inner hinge starting but still strong; jacket quite nice and bright, with spine (only) a bit sunned and age toned. Superb first edition of a title in the short-lived 3-volume "Madge Sterling Series, " all issued in 1932 with no priority clearly established; all three titles listed on front jacket flap. Wirt was one of the many pseudonyms of the incredibly prolific Mildred Benson (1905-2002), who as Carolyn Keene authored some of the early "Nancy Drew" tales, among many other series. Uncommon, especially in a lovely jacket.
