Evan Tanner is a fun guy. You'd think he'd be cranky, what with his sleep deprivation, but he remains likable and even tempered. If you don't know about Tanner, he had an accident which destroyed his sleep center: he can't sleep. So what to do when you have all that time? Why, learn languages and adopt strange and lost causes. All this creates a good deal of humor and Tanner has a knack for becoming enmeshed in odd situations. Block being playful; well worth the ride.
