Slightly smaller book, brown boards, gilt lettering bright on spine, dark yellow inside covers and adjacent end papers, 258 lightly browned heavy pages. Supposedly translated by Oscar Wilde. DJ price-clipped, heavy paper, dark yellow background with oval illustration of Romans at top front, spine and nearby front and back very slight faded as well as top front right, three scratches on back. DJ has very slight surface wear to tips, light wear to bookfold edges, tiny but wide tear at bottom front tip, micronicks at spine edges. Near Good DJ/Very Fine book.
