It would appear to be another story of the South. In reality, it is about love and the commonality among races. We are all God's creatures and we all have that capacity and desire to love and be loved.
Had occasion to hear about the book from the author himself; wish I had heard that first as it gave more insight to the why he wrote it. Ponder the story as you read it with deliberation.
