If you are looking for a way to expand and improve on your existing rhythm skills, this book is for you. I learned "backward" - I learned to play by ear. This book, which requires a metronome, offers a graduated and structured approach to learning time and playing note values. Make sure you get the CD and the book, as either is worthless without the other. Using Rhythm Bible I am correcting some "gaps" left from learning music by ear.
