This was another excellent book by Phillipa Gregory, who has a special talent for putting words into the mouths and thoughts into the minds of figures from the Tudor period, yet anchoring the narrative in known historical fact when available.

The Red Queen
The Red Queen shares a common theme as all the other Gregory fiction works based on history: The subjugation of women, whatever their status, in the Late Middle Ages to the Early Renaissance period.
