Light, well-paced and fun
While the premise of the book is certainly not original, Judith Ivory did a great job with the character development and details of this Pygmalion story. Although Mick Tremore is relatively uneducated, poor, and somewhat uncouth, he has wisdom, humor, and great dignity. Even as he learns new behaviors to fit into a new environment, he does not change who he was. Edwina Bollash is an interesting character with enough strengths and insecurities to make this a very enjoyable read.
