On August 28, 1861, he enlisted in Company H, 100th P. V. I. (Roundheads), and was discharged on August 18, 1862. On July 1, 1863, he enlisted in Company H, 55th Regiment, P. V., and was discharged on August 26, 1863, after the second battle of Bull Run; he then enlisted in Company A of the Home Guards (Emergency men.), and was again called to the front in the 55th Regiment, State Militia, 1863. Colonel Cubbison was married July 31, 1878, to Miss Sarah E., daughter of Hugh M. Graham, and to them were born two children: Martha Meyer, born October 25, 1882, and Archibald Wesley, born July 13, 1886. In politics, Colonel Cubbison is a Republican; he is also a member of the Masonic Fraternity, and is a member of Lodge No. 433, Chapter No. 170, and Commandery No. 62, of Pennsylvania. He is regarded as one of the substantial, enterprising and progressive citizens, and a genial, up-to-date landlord. THOMAS L. WHITE, M.D. HOMAS L. WHITE, M.D., a prominent physician and capitalist of McKeesport, Pennsylvania, was born in that city, October 27, 1853, and is a son of James P. and Annie (Dunlevey) White, natives of County Meath, Ireland, and New York City respectively. Dr. White was educated at Villanova College, Philadelphia. He read medicine under the late Ur. John Dickson, of Pittsburg, and was graduated from Jefferson Medical College, Philadelphia, March 13, 1875. He afterwards spent a couple of years in Europe, the greater part of which time he was engaged in making observations and experiments under Europe's best medical instructors at Guy's Hospital, Loudon, and in the Military Hospital, Vienna.
