Paul Waddell successfully introduces the reader to the wonders of Thomistic ethics in an accessible style which remains faithful to the original works in the Summa Theologica. This book would have served me well had I read it before tackling the Summa itself! Waddell is eloquent and impressively immersed in the vision of Thomas. It was an enlightening pleasure to read. it demonstrated most beautifully to me that Thomas' ethics transcends all time and place and all agendas. It is an ethics rooted in an exceptionally compassionate and realistic understanding of the human person.
