good teen read
My students love this series, so I read them all to see what the appeal was. It appeals to teen girls because although the story is set in a very wealthy, non-standard setting, the attitudes and the desire to be accepted are things that girls can relate to. There is also the fantasy-esque situation they live in that makes it fun to read about. All in all, this book had perhaps more relateable material than some of the others within the same series.
