Well worth the read!
I was intrigued by the summaries on the back of the book, but couldn't imagine that I would enjoy Joyce Magnin's debut novel, The Prayers of Agnes Sparrow, as much as I did. What an amazing set of characters! Quirky folks in a unique little town living lives that aren't always easy. There is mystery and intrigue here, mixed with some funny yet touching relationships. I didn't want to put it down once I met Agnes and Griselda and their fellow townsfolk. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you might even get angry at some of them....you certainly won't be bored. I can't wait for my next trip to Bright's Pond, when the sequel comes out!
