Extremely thorough and accessible discussion of all phases of reinforcement in behavioral psychology. Very clear explanation of the differences between punishment and negative reinforcement. (no, they are not the same.) This is a more scholarly work. For someone new to behavioral psychology, start with Karen Pyror's "Don't shoot the Dog" then definitely move on to this book.
