This book presents a unique and interesting introduction to the wonders of the known universe written in the form of verse. It is a reflection of nearly sixty years of observation by the author and his perception and interpretation of all things universally related. It makes statements, poses questions and offers theories. There is a poetic elegance in the way in which the universe functions with every galaxy spinning and revolving around each other and the stars within those galaxies dancing likewise in seemingly perfect synchronicity. Every element of it from the largest to the smallest apparently depends on the other for its existence. It can be likened to a vast cosmic rhythmic dance. With just a little imagination the haunting strains of Ravels' Bolero can be heard in the background and the majestic scene compared to the perfect elegance of Torvill and Deans' ballet-like interpretation of that piece on ice. For those who are interested in the subject and who may be intent upon studying one or more aspects in greater detail the verses when memorized may help them to more readily call to mind the information and facts contained therein. There are almost 100 full color images scattered throughout, which are repeated with notes at the end of the book for the more technically minded who might wish to delve further; otherwise just enjoy the poetry of the universe. If this book stimulates reflection and discussion and helps to generate greater interest by the general public in the poetic grandeur of our universe then it will have served its' objective well.
