Very Good. No Jacket. 219 pages (complete). Original pressed boards. Newer end-papers(? ). Frontispiece, vignette, plus illustration of 'Bechuana Boy'. A placid copy. The boards have wear from age, storage all about. The edges and corners have wear, sunning. The spine is sunned; there is wear to head (a short closed rip) and foot. The gilt titling is genial. Blind-stamped decoration. The boards are steady and sure. The papertrims are lightly tanned. The contents are agreeably affable. The early and later pages are much marked with foxing and age-related marks; there are blotches, spots, smudges of foxing here and there throughout. Nonetheless, the contents are tight, healthy, tidy, clean and clear, convivial, confident, very certain, companionable, generous. fk.
