Very Good. 16mo-over 5¾"-6¾" tall. 142 pp, additional engraved title, engraved portrait. Contemporary tree calf bordered in gilt with gilt decoration to spine, maroon and black title labels lightly rubbed, gilt number 58 on the spine, rubbed; marbled endpapers. Light toning to preliminaries. The 18th century bookplate of A Walker, Newry has been laid down on a blank prelim. Very lightly rubbed at edges and spine. Beautifully figured tree calf. This volume contains the poet's miscellanies, epistles, epigrams, odes, songs, prologues, epilogues, imitations, etc, etc, etc. Nicholas Rowe (1674-1718), English dramatist, poet and writer, was appointed Poet Laureate in 1715. Bells Poets, published in the 18th century consisted of the works of some 48 poets, and totalled over one hundred volumes.
