Eugene Field isn't known as "The Children's Poet" for nothing. Although his name may not be widely recognized, some of his famous poems are: Wynken, Blynken, & Nod -- Little Boy Blue -- Pittpat and Tippytoe -- The Sugar Plum Tree -- The Duel. Who could forget "The Duel": The gingham dog and the callico cat, Side by side on the table sat, There was going to be a terrible spat! Next to Mother Goose, I'd recommend Mr. Field!
