I remember reading this book as a kid and so I bought a copy for my 8y/o son to enjoy. It is well-written in a smart and engaging kid-friendly format. He laughs out loud throughout the chapters. The concept is adorable and although I bought it for him, I couldn't help but read it again myself.

My son loved it.
My wife and I, have had a terrible time getting our oldest son to read. He just doesn't seemed interested at all, but this book was a little different. We borrowed it from our public library and my son took to it right away. He has always asking to check it out, so not wanting to pass up a good thing we bought a copy for ourselves. As for the book itself, it moves along at a good pace, and has interesting characters. The two brothers in the story are humorous, and the plants (yes there are actually two) are much like their owners. It's a good read for 7-10 year olds.
