I loved this book as well as the other two, The Burning Road and The Physician's Tale, that are associated with The Plague Tales. The author is well educated about medicine and the Plague. Now that I have read all three, I'm hoping that Ms. Benson will write more. She's a very, very wonderful storyteller! I HIGHLY recommend all 3 books.

Very interesting
Have read this book before and, several years later, am reading it again. It lends itself quite well to taking the reader back several centuries into the time of the "black death" and returning to the present time, presenting the plague as horrifying an event now as it must have been then. The writing is interesting, keeping the reader engaged in the story, although the book is several hundred pages long. Rusty
