The first English trade edition, one of 7 volumes comprising The Vinegar Works. The original English edition was published in a limited edition of 500 by the Fantod Press in 1970. The story of a friendship between a man and a bird, told and illustrated in Gorey's unique and macabre style. Neat previous owner's name on upper edge of inside cover.
