Collated, bound without the front endpaper, and the plate to face page 97. 'The Orange Fairy Book' is the tenth book in Andrew Lang's monumental 'Fairy Book' series. This orange volume contains tales from Jutland, Rhodesia, Uganda, and other various European traditions. The stories include 'The Magic Mirror', 'The Ugly Duckling', 'The Enchanted Wreath', 'The White Doe', and more. Andrew Lang is best known for these collections of fairy tales, and was an avid collector of folk and fairy tales. He was a Scottish poet, novelist, and literary critic. Illustrated by Henry JusticeĀ Ford, a noted English illustrator who is best known for his beautiful illustrations for Lang's works. In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, generally smart. Light bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Gilt to the spine and front board has faded. Spine is a little faded.
