And now, when our departure is at hand, it would seem that the event merited more than the mere gathering up of our effects and our going hence. Accordingly, from word of mouth, from books and from tradition, I have collected data and incident Which, in this parting hour, I submit for your consideration and as a final tribute to this place, replete With the memories of a hundred years.
