A meticulously written book, powerful and thought provoking. Josh Weil is a master wordsmith. Three episodes are elegantly intervoven into this outstanding trilogy about a place where people do not use many words, are obsessed beyond reason, and about life and death. In the form of letters, one character describes his own reality to the man who hurt him, and his subsequent salvation.
In a philosophic twist on the subject of obsession, Weil has included his own drawings of 'humanized machines'.
Most of all, he carefully brings each character to life and leaves us with both wonder and contentment.
