Basic--good for first-timers
Having been to Israel three times, (Hardly an expert, however), I was disappointed in this book. It appears rather geared to Americans and very basic. Perhaps if this is your first time, then it will be quite helpful, but if you've been once or more then there are far better buys around. Check out these two, which my tour guides carry with them to double-check their facts before speaking at many of the sites one visits.
1). "A Study Guide of Israel" by Arnold Fruchtenbaum.
2). "The Holy Land" by Jerome Murphy O'Connor.
Both of these are far more detailed and are suitable for all kinds of travellers, not just American Christians.
