The Never Ending Waltz is a purposeful designation; this is Erich Kunzel and the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra performing the traditional Strauss waltzes not in a concert format, but pulled together into strings of medleys. This is exactly how one would experience Strauss' (and other) waltzes at a ball in Vienna where the waltz is still danced in the traditional manner, and indeed how the Strausses themselves would have arranged them for such purpose.
