The problem of evil in recent scholarship looks at the writings of several theistic and atheistic philosophers of religion from the contemporary period of the twentieth century up the present. A modest cross-section of some efforts toward constructing a biblical theodicy was provided by several scholars from a philosophical, biblical, theological, and practical perspective.The conclusion notes the challenge and difficulty of constructing a Christian theodicy by presenting a multi-faceted approach to the problem of evil.
