She took a genealogy trip to Randolph County, West Virginia, in 2019 to uncover Margaret's secrets. Other published genealogy works by Kathy Lynne Marshall include: the double award-winning "Finding Otho: The Search for Our Enslaved Williams Ancestors" and the triple award-winning "Finding Daisy: From the Deep South to the Promised Land" and "The Ancestors Are Smiling!" in addition to several anthologies and journal submissions. Marshall is passionate about topics concerning cultural heritage and, especially, black history.
