Harry Price suffers the reputaion of being something of a charlatan, and many say he greatly exaggerated paranormal incidents. The title of this book aside, compared with the modern day "experts" such as the Warrens, Sylvia Browne, and Derek Akorah, Price is a modest and careful researcher. Price's technique, occupying the house for an extended period of time, seems logical compared with some modern researchers who spend a few hours in a place and declare it haunted or not. The house in question is intriguing and Price has a nice, straightforward writing style. Most of the book is the relaying of witness testimony, but the incidents and the variety of activity of this apparent haunt are remarkable.
