The Mosquito Coast is a powerful, thought- and discussion-provoking book about a dreamer-iconoclast who uproots his family from a tame life in America in order to discover, nay, create a utopia elsewhere. But as the book's quirky "hero" finds out all too well, you can run but you cannot hide from the evil that fills the human heart. Both the book and the film (starring Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren) are highly recommended.

Fascinating Story
I enjoyed both the book AND the movie (with Harrison Ford), though the main character was far less likeable in the written version.
