If as God-man He was all and in all on earth, He is still more so in heaven to the enraptured throng of angels and redeemed men. They see in Him what is to be seen in no other being in the universe--" this same Jesus" wearing our humanity, which is not lost in the divine, but which is in visible union with it, making even that still more glorious. For though in the midst of the throne, He is "the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world." In heaven He is still the manifested God, the revelation of the Father's love in our nature, now exalted far above all human conception. He has a name which is above every name. On His head are many crowns. The redeemed shall walk with Him in white, for they are worthy, not in themselves, but through the blood of the Lamb. They shall then see as they never did before, how He is all and in all in creation, in providence, and in redeeming love. The echoes of their songs of praise come down to us through all the ages, since the beloved disciple heard them in the island of Patmos. "Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing." He is all and in all to the Eternal Father Himself, who sees in His own Son the brightness of His glory, the express image of His person, the fulness of His own love, and who calls upon the whole universe to worship Him, as the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last.
