Seller's Description:
Fair. Very readable copy. No DJ, so two toned cloth boards are scuffed, rubbed, lightly worn at corner tips and faded. The gilt lettering and decoration on spine and front board are still bright and unmarred. The upper corner tips of boards are quite dented, more so on front board which has large crease. Book might have been dropped on those upper corners as the text block has been left wavy with creases to the upper corner tips of all the pages. Deckled edges. The spine has the propensity to cock in both directions, less so at the bottom of spine which isn't as "loose" as the spine on top half of book. FFE has previous owners name in pen. Yellowed pages are unmarked. Book has three sections of black and white photographs on glossy stock of stars of the opera: Leontyne Price, Caruso, Marian Anderson, and more. Bottom corner of text block has usual thumb markings. Good reference copy for opera lovers!
