I am very hard to please when it comes to books-movies-tv shows. This is so far the best book i have read about our soldiers fighting this war. I will definetly keep this one in my collection.

GREAT BOOK!!
This is a VERY touching and disturbing book. The author does an excellent job of conveying the situations that our military contends with, and we here at Home just take EVERYTHING for granted. I have ALWAYS had an extreme interest in the soldiers, and ALL that they sacrifice for THEIR country. Having been raised where my dad was in the military, and now my minister's two sons are in Iraq, and lots of others from Downeast Maine, this book reveals a lot of information for all of us! Do not read this book without a tissue box, either. And DO READ ALL of it!!

Don't miss
I have read the best of the best of war books, and this one takes an honored place on the list. The writer is a woman journalist who was "not there" for the action, but whose grasp of an Iraq ambush is a miracle of research and human empathy, without a suggestion of gush. Ms Raddatz has woven into her battle account the narrative of families waiting, hoping, and reacting at home to the arrival of the government car with its three uniformed officers and the news that will devastate their lives for years to come.
