This is a book I wanted for my grandchild and great niece because I had read and reread it as a child. There is so much magic and beauty in this retelling of stories and legends. My copy fell apart from all the times I pored over it.
The 2 copies I received were library editions and still in good condition although 70 years had passed from the initial publication date of 1941.

Best of my Many Christmas Story Books
I love telling Christmas Stories and am constantly searching for stories that are Christian, Inspirational and TELLABLE! This last phrase means it can be told without a large cast of characters, move forward quickly enough to keep the attention of 9 to 90 year old, and short enough to tell inside a 30 minute set. All of the stories in THE LONG CHRISTMAS meet all of these requirements. They are also good Read -Out-Loud stories for Children or Grandchildren!
