Reference materials can be fun to read. This one tells a story from beginning to end on the essay construct. From its table of contents onward, it is logically sound and at once easy to digest.
I learned that like the spoken word, language committed to paper ( or to an electronic device) carries the weight of described thought. How well the correspondence is achieved depends upon the designs at which the work in progress is imbued. Structure; stle; sentences, denoted examples abound for clarity and understanding. Words lay demystified. Here is a topic which has become my favorite: "How to write badly by trying very, very hard".
With tongue in cheek and pen in hand, this little tome packs a punch and delivers the points. There is much to learn; why not examine this work and chance upon the inevitable that you shall learn, something, of the writing art.
