Hardcover in original green cloth with gilt titles and decorative stamping front and spne, no jacket, 8vo. xii + 524pp. Index. B/W plates and line drawings. Tissue-protected frontis. G+. 3/8" bump with touch of card exposed mid lower front edge; bumped corners with some card exposed at tip of upper rear corner; occasional rubbing with surface loss along other edges and hinges; softened upper spine end. Central cloth clean and sharp with bright stamping on front, only slightly dulled on spine. Slight separation following pre-frontis page with moderate play along hinge; binding otherwise strong and square but stiff, opens flat at several places throughout. Stiff pages toned, stronger on endpapers, with foxing throughout--quite strong foxing endpapers and pre-text pages.
