Volume 2 is more heavily worn, with cloth loss at spine ends, spine binding detached at rear (we have reglued it), a number of short splits or nicks in spine. Both volumes heavily foxed and both bear the printed nameplate (not full-blown bookplate) of Henry R. Mygatt. Johnson was a founder of Johnstown, New York, and played a prominent role in the French and Indian War.;
