"A riotous blend of memoir and cultural criticism that defies expectations on nearly every page. Being Seen persuasively argues that it is not only the disabled body that must adapt to the world but also the world that must adapt around the disabled body." --M. Seller's Description:
Very Good in Fair jacket. The dust jacket is very shelf rubbed and worn. The spine is discoloured and marked and there are small chips out of the top edges of the spine along with tearing and creasing along the edges. Despite this, the jacket is whole and intact, with all text legible. The boards are rubbed and edge worn but remain strong and square, with bright gold gilt to the spine. Internally, a previous owner has tipped in a sticker with their signature on it on the front end page. There are no other markings or inscriptions and the pages within are crisp, clean and complete, though a little tanned around the edges. Tightly bound and presents attractively in cellophane. JK.
