Excellent for beginner or more experienced knitter
I've been doing basic knitting for quite some time but was away from it for a few years. I wanted a book with a good review section plus a generous sampling of a variety of different knitting stitches of varying degrees of complexity. I saw this at the library, tried it at home, and knew I wanted a personal copy. The introduction to knitting is very complete, showing excellent pictures and gives both English and Continental knitting techniques. The instructions are very clear and easily understood. The stitch library patterns are grouped according to type of stitches with pictures that are large enough to see what the stitch with repeats looks like. Here, the directions are also written out step by step, and for those who are more expert, are also charted for their convenience. It also includes a selection of patterns of varying degrees of difficulty. I don't hesitate to recommend it.
