When people think of Science Fiction, they often do not think of poignant human stories or of books with complex, intriguing female representations, but The Keeper of the Isis Light includes all of these. The scientific elements are integral to the plot, so I will refrain from explaining and spoiling, and they are thought provoking, but not very detailed. Ultimately, this story is about body image and the female life quest. If you are interested in the human story and the female story, then this is a great read for you. At one point, the book was so riveting that I skipped ahead to find out what happened!
