The author grew up in a quaint little town (Pismo Beach) on the Central California coast, where many of her stories were inspired. Married with three sons, the author traveled both in America and Europe during her husband's career in the military. In her later years, she attended college where she majored in sociology. She continued her flair for writing and says that it is never too late to follow your dream when inspirations come, no matter what you do along the way.
