The author begins w/ a definition of 'asexual', an orientation that's fairly rare. She then describes so many subtypes that the definition becomes almost useless. She doesn't explain the difference between 'asexual ' and 'low sex drive', a difference that needs to be covered since some 'asexual' people may have sex a few (or more) times a year and even enjoy it.
The book has an academic look w/ footnotes and a bibliography but the author's credentials are that she is asexual herself and is a prominent voice for the community. The book left me w/ more questions than answers.
