This book was one of the first good facsimiles of mediaeval illumination, at a time when such subjects were almost unknown. It was very dear to me as a young person, but is long out of print.
The original is very important in the history of illuminated books. Jean Pucelle, the maker, created a lot of the conventions of the art. The copy I received is in beautiful shape, and will be treasured.

Lovely little book
As someone who recreated medieval manuscripts for a hobby this is a fine and fun little book to have in your reference collection. It contains some of the most memorable parts of the book of hours and its wonderful to see it in 1:1 scale.
