Even if it's some years old, it's still the main reference everyone uses as a basis. Clearly structured, complete, with very interesting ideas... Can be completed with very good new books for specific questions. But everything inside it is still valid, and a perfect global vision.

THE text on the subject
Was tremendously helpful to me in completing a college course on organ literature. Surprised it was not a required text.
