On the Gesta Romanorum It remains only to state that those Additional Notes from the collections of Dr. Ashby and Mr. Park, which, having come into the hands of the Publisher too late to be otherwise inserted in the edition of 1824, were printed at the end of the volumes, have in the present Edition been annexed to the passages to which they relate: and as the present enlarged form of the page has occasioned numerous alterations in the references both in the Notes and Index, much care has been taken to avoid the errors which often result fi om such a change.
