I loved Ehrlich's Selective Dictionary of Adjectives for the Highly Literate, which is full of highbrow words you can actually slip into a sentence now and then. But I was disappointed in the Thesaurus, bought for a pastor friend who likes to alliterate, because the words are SOOO arcane. For those interested in word history, this would probably be fun, but I'm sticking with the adjectives for now.
